This may be the easiest recipe out there, but this time of year it is a big hit with most everyone. It’s perfect for our daughter to make for her friends, not too filling but very decadent.
Chocolate Covered Strawberries
1 lb strawberries
1 c. chocolate chips (semi sweet, milk, dark, whatever)
2 t. coconut oil
1 square white chocolate, optional
Wash and completely dry the strawberries while melting the chocolate and coconut oil in the microwave in 15 second increments. Stir to melt the chocolate more quickly.
Dip each berry into the chocolate mixture and place on waxed paper to dry.
Melt the white chocolate in a separate bowl and pour into a plastic bag, snip off a small corner of bag and drizzle onto the darker chocolate.
Refrigerate till serving. Best served within a few hours.
Even I could do this…and I think I will.
You should! Some advise rolling them in chopped nuts or candies, but I say keep it simple!
As a foreplay appetizer, no nuts or candies please. An an aftercare snack perhaps, but not likely. I can see I need to run to the store today. Who knew strawberries could be so arousing? 😉
