You don’t need to be training for a marathon. Find some activity that you enjoy….okay, can tolerate and get moving! For the longest time, I had an internal conversation that started with “If I work out today…..” I have finally changed the words to, “when I work out today….” and it has caused a major shift in my attitude and actions because I am no longer negotiating and rationalizing, I just move and get on with my day.
Obviously there are times when a workout isn’t possible; while traveling all day or when I’m under the weather, but I try to walk/run/play/do floor exercises to the point of producing sweat each day. It’s not a high bar, but it’s better than doing nothing! I believe anyone, no matter how busy, can make time to exercise, but first you must decide to become a priority.
Wise words indeed, it is one of my major inner conflicts, it is nice to know that there are people who are in my same boat 🙂 – God bless you and thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for the encouragement!
