Love Yourself

Image  1 Cor 6:19-20  Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

Paul reminds us that our bodies are not our own, we are to be witnesses in what we say and do, and the way that we treat our bodies is part of that testimony. We all know there are so many benefits to choosing a healthy lifestyle, but it can be easy to forget that it is an act of obedience.

When I have invested time in exercising and eating right, I feel like a priority to myself and I feel healthier, boosting my confidence in almost all aspects of life. This surge of confidence carries through the day and makes an impact on everything else I do.

Unfortunately, the converse is also true; when I don’t choose to exercise and eat intentionally, I am less likely to look people in the eye and speak up for myself because I just don’t feel confident. It shows.

  1. Similar to what you said in your last post. Someone must have needed to hear it again. And you now have another reason to stop shopping at Target. 🙂 with the identity breach…I think that was them on the News a few weeks ago.
