2018 Reading List

My goal was to read more in 2018, which truly meant that my goal was to slow down and be more open in 2018. I am noticing that I read a lot more fiction this year than I usually do, and for the most part I really enjoyed the escape. I’m simply listing them in order of my liking, and giving a quick description of my two favorites. I would love to discuss any of the books with you if you have questions.

Nonfiction

I’m Still Here by Austin Channing Brown – WOW. All of us should read this book with active listening skills – meaning, listening to learn and believing every word is true and honest. Powerful, powerful book.

How to Survive a Shipwreck by Jonathan Martin

Kill the Spider by Carlos Whittaker

The Vulnerable Pastor by Mandy Smith

When, the Scientific Secrets of Perfect Timing by Daniel Pink

Great at Work by Morten T. Hansen

The Road Back to You by Ian Morgan Cron

Fiction

The Alice Network by Kate Quinn – this was my favorite fiction book with strong female characters, historical fiction and excellent writing. Yes please!

The Nightingale by Kristen Hannah

The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne

The Great Alone by Kristen Hannah

Eleanor Olipahant is Completely Fine by Gail HoneymanT

Beartown by Fredrik Backman
