Years ago my guy and I used the term ’get lucky’ when talking about having sex. I would tease him, saying that he was only loading the dishwasher in hopes of getting lucky, or tell him what his chances of getting lucky were on a given day. My whole perspective changed when one of those times, he said a simple sentence:
I really wish you saw it as getting lucky sometimes, too.
What a novel concept. So I did.
