Letting Go

I just watched my youngest child walk away to get her wisdom teeth removed. I can’t protect her or do it for her and I can’t make sure this goes well. Like so many other times in her life, I have to let her walk through that door while I watch and pray. Parenting is so much harder than I expected, equal parts holding on and letting go.
